RAF CAREER

George was streamed to fly fast-jets on completion of Elementary Flying Training at RAF Wittering in 2015. After Basic Fast Jet Training on the Tucano 72 Squadron, RAF Linton-on-Ouse, he was selected to become a Qualified Flying Instructor and remained on the Tucano, training student pilots until 2019. He undertook Advanced Fast Jet Training on the Hawk T1 at RAF Leeming, before completing the Typhoon Operational Conversion in 2020 and joining XI(F) Squadron at Coningsby. In his three years on the frontline, he took part in many operations in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, as well as Quick Reaction Alert both in the UK and in Romania. He also took part in a several multi-national exercises at home and abroad in Sweden and Cyprus.

George joined the Red Arrows for the 2024 season.
