RAF Police Attend Blind Veterans UK Military Engagement Dinner

Six RAF Police personnel attended a Blind Veterans UK (BVUK) military engagement dinner held at the historic Petwood Hotel.

The event, aimed at celebrating the charity's rich military heritage and strengthening relationships within the Forces community, provided a memorable experience for beneficiaries through engagement opportunities.

As part of the evening's proceedings, the Founders Day Awards were integrated into the military dinner. Eight BVUK members received awards, representing the ethos, dedication, and achievements of those who continue to lead fulfilling lives after sight loss. These awards honour Sir Arthur Pearson's founding of BVUK, formerly known as St Dunstan's.

John, a World War II veteran and BVUK member, holder of the 1939-45 medal and Victory Medal, shared: "Saying Grace before the dinner is always a special time for me. Having serving Forces here makes it more special as I look at them and remember how I looked in my uniform and what it still means to me now."
