HOW RAF Police Force IS STRUCTURED

The Air Security Force Headquarters is based at RAF Honington. It commands three Police & Security Wings, nine regular squadrons and one reserve squadron organised in to three wings.

About No.1 RAF Police Counter Intelligence & Security Wing

No.1 RAF Police Counter Intelligence & Security Wing falls under the Air Security Force and is responsible for the development and delivery of specialist policing, intelligence, counter-intelligence and security effects to identify and intercept the spectrum of threats to the Air and Space Mission and to secure and protect the RAF community and capabilities.

About No.2 Police and Security Wing

No. 2 Police & Security Wing is a Force Element which is the largest Wing within the Air Security Force. The Wing is responsible for developing and delivering threat-led, full spectrum police and security effects and providing advice to commanders that will help to secure and protect our people and the home base, and across the globe. The Wing also enables the RAF Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (ISTAR), Combat Air Force (CAF), Battlespace Management and Space Forces to develop and operate secure platforms to deliver UK and global air operations in support of the Air and Space Mission.

Number 3 Police & Security Wing falls under the Air Security Force. 3 Police and Security Wing delivers Integrated, Scalable, and Rapid full spectrum, threat-led, global response security and policing capabilities to secure and protect the Air Mobility Enterprise and wider contingent platforms, people, and environments in order to directly support and contribute to battle winning Air and Space Power.
