RAF Presentation - Newcastle High School for Girls

Recently, Flight Lieutenant Maran and Flying Officer Goodier voluntarily attended Newcastle High School for Girls (primary) to give a presentation about the Royal Air Force.

Addressing a group of girls with age ranges from 4-11 years, Maran and Goodier spoke about the RAF as a whole, including different available pathways and careers, the role of RAF Boulmer has, and their own careers within the RAF.

Throughout the assembly, the students were buzzing with enthusiasm and interest, asking our two service personnel so many questions, that Fg Officer Goodier said:

We could have spent the whole day answering questions the girls had!

Fortunately, Newcastle Girls High School were putting on a ‘Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths’ (STEM) event throughout the day and therefore the presentation coincided really nicely, discussing how STEM plays an integral part of the operational output of RAF Boulmer and many careers in the RAF.
