Commander Air Wing, Group Captain Gareth Burdett said:

"Master Aircrew Barsby’s contribution over more than four decades of service has been remarkable: from representing the Combined Services at Basketball to delivering humanitarian assistance on both C130 and C17. All of those thousands of hours of operating our aircraft meant that his last role leading the implementation of Flight Data Analysis across the RAF has been a really successful capstone to a wonderful career. We wish him the very best of luck for the future."
