Air Commodore Knight visits RAF Cosford

Providing Air Commodore Knight with an overview of RAF Cosford and its resident Units, whilst meeting Station Personnel face to face to gain an understanding of their roles and any unique challenges that they may face.

His visit involved trips to the Apollo Resource Centre and Common room within Fulton Block, the Station Post Room to showcase their new automated system. The Community Centre and Single Living Accommodation to understand the welfare needs of personnel, Logistics Squadron to witness the workplace environment and finally a walk around No.1 School of Technical Training to showcase the capability of training facilities within the Defence School of Aeronautical Engineering (DSAE).

A visit such as this gives an ideal insight into the goings on with the usual day-to-day running of an RAF Station that wouldn’t be possible otherwise, ensuring the needs of the personnel at RAF Cosford are being understood by hierarchy across the Royal Air Force.

DSAE at RAF Cosford, is part of the Defence College of Technical Training (DCTT). It is at the centre of the RAF’s mission to deliver flexible, affordable, modern and effective technical training that meets the needs of the UK’s Armed Forces now and into the future.
