On 9 January 2026, Group Captain Lee officially handed over command of Number 3 Flying Training School to Group Captain Evans.
Gp Capt Evans thanked his predecessor for stepping up as Delivery Duty Holder, enabling him to complete his Qualified Flying Instructor course and was “genuinely grateful for the guidance and leadership of 3 FTS"
On assuming command, he said that
“It is a privilege to assume command of 3 Flying Training School, and I am deeply honoured to be given this opportunity.”
