ARNOLD INTAKE MAKE THE GRADE

The Graduation Parade of Arnold Intake at Recruit Training Squadron has taken place after ten weeks of Basic Recruit Training at RAF Halton.  The Reviewing Officer was Station Commander, Group Captain James Brayshaw, officiating at his last Graduation Parade as Station Commander.

Musical accompaniment for the Parade was from the Central Band Of The Royal Air Force under the instruction of Band Master Warrant Officer Terrence Gardner and unfortunately due to weather conditions there was no fly past.

Group Captain Brayshaw presented presented trophies and awards to recipients who were:

AC Elliott was awarded The Halton Aircraft Apprentice Shield. Awarded to the recruit who has displayed the highest overall standard of effort, determination and achievement in physical education.

AC Markham was awarded the Halton Aircraft Apprentice Trophy, awarded for the highest overall standard in drill and deportment.

AC Archer  -  The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund Trophy, awarded for displaying the greatest effort and determination on Number 1 Flight.

AC Carpenter - The Station Commander’s Cup, awarded for displaying the greatest effort and determination on Number 2 Flight.

AC Lee  -  The Mayor Of Aylesbury Trophy, awarded for the best overall performance in all aspects of training on Number 1 Flight.

AC Richardson - The Rothschild Trophy, Awarded to the recruit who achieves the highest overall standard in Initial Force Protection Training.

AC Ruther - The Lord Lieutenant Of Buckinghamshire’s Trophy for the best overall performance in all aspects of training on Number 2 Flight.

AC Appleby - The Dusty Miller Trophy, as voted for by their fellow recruits.

Finally The Lord Trenchard Trophy awarded to the Flight whose performance has been the best overall in general service training and general service knowledge.  It was awarded to No. 2 Flight and collected on their behalf by SAC Mawson.
