Cpl ‘Hilly’ Hill and Sgt Sarah Perkes volunteered at the Odeon Cinema in Aylesbury for a bucket collection to celebrate 75 years of the Great Escape.  The pair enjoyed the full screening of the Great Escape film including commentary from Dan Snow and entertainment from the D-Day Darlings. Following the screening, they continued with the bucket collection and raised £79.15.

Sgt Marie Griffiths lead a small team on an early morning start to London Bridge Station, thanks to Network Rail generosity. The team consisted of Cpl ‘Boothy’ Booth and Sgt Owen Clarke, Sgt Clair Watson, CT ‘Swinny’ Swinscoe and Warrant Officer Mark Notts.  The bucket collection raised a staggering £863.

Sgt Griffiths, who is the Station champion for The RAF Benevolent Fund, said: “If anybody wishes to assist in raising awareness or funds for the RAF Benevolent Fund, please contact me.”
