New Playpark Officially Open

As restrictions continue to ease it was perfect timing for the new play park on the Officers patch to open for business.  Station Commander Group Captain Holland visited the site this morning to officially declare it open and thank all parties involved in making it happen; DIO, Amey and our Station Community Support Officer WO Mark Steward; all whom have put a big smile on lots of children’s faces!

The new facility will bring hours of enjoyment to families as we start to emerge from the pandemic and return to some form of normality over the next few months. Children were eagerly watching the installation of the new play apparatus, and not so patiently waiting for it to open during the Easter period! But we think Katy and Lucy will agree it was worth the wait as they perfectly demonstrate how to have fun at the new playpark.
