There is no childcare on the Station, however the area has a good choice of child care options.
The schools nearest to the Service Families Accommodation are Brampton Primary School and William Howard Secondary School.

The Service Families Accommodation (SFA) is located 12 miles from the Station.

Health and welfare
Medical centre
RAF Spadeadam does not have any medical facilities on the Station.
RAF Spadeadam is covered by the Newcastle Medical Treatment Facility, at Albemarle Barracks. Instructions on how to register with the practice will be given to Service personnel during their Arrivals Brief.

The RAF Leeming SSAFA team provide support to RAF Spadeadam personnel and their families.

Station gym
The Station has a very well equipped gym with fitness suite and sauna.

Opening times: Monday to Sunday, 24 hours a day. However the Physical Training Instructor is available Monday 10am - 7pm, Tuesday to Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday working from home - (out of office).

RAF Spadeadam is supported by the Brampton Community Centre which hosts many events.

Integrated Welfare Facility
The Intergrated Welfare Facility provides station personnel with 24 hour access to a learning suite and classroom, a SSAFA and Padre room, and a leisure and vending area.
