RAF St Mawgan does not have a HIVE facility
Childcare
Access to local childcare facilities will depend on where you live.
The Service Families’ Accommodation (also known as Married Quarters) is split between three sites with further details available through the Community Development Officer (CDO) and Service Community Support Officer (SCSO).

Family Contact and Temporary Accommodation
There are three contact houses available for emergency family accommodation. One on Station and the others off the Station.
Health and welfare
Medical centre
The Medical Centre on the Station is for military personnel only. Civilian staff and families should register with a local GP.
Dental Centre
There are no dental facilities on Station. Civilian staff and families should register with a local dental practice.
SSAFA PS&SWS RAF
SSAFA Personal Support & Social Work Service RAF (PS&SWS RAF) is contracted by the RAF to provide welfare support to all serving personnel (regular and reserves) and their families. Our team of specialist Welfare Officers are located on stations in the RAF community throughout the UK. Support can also be accessed by other services on a tri-service unit.
Our service is confidential and independent from the Chain of Command. It is the aim of our service to support you to enhance personal welfare, maintain family stability and empower you to access the support networks you are entitled to.
Our service can support you with a range of issues including addiction & dependency, child support, financial, housing, mental health, personal support, physical health and relationships.
Anyone, regular, reserve or family member, can refer themselves to SSAFA. You can contact our service by any of the ways below:

Station Gym
There are fantastic gym and sports facilities for all civilian and service personnel based at RAF St Mawgan. Classes are offered by RAF and visiting civilian instructors.

· Preferential rates at local swimming pool
Military personnel serving at RAF St Mawgan are automatically members, although an induction has to be completed before using the equipment.
Civilians working at RAF St Mawgan, and families of military personnel based at RAF St Mawgan can apply to join the gym but a small fee to cover insurance will apply.

Social
Bars and cafés
The Atlantic Club
The Atlantic Club all-ranks bar and café is situated adjacent to the main gate, inside the Station.
Café opening times: Monday to Sunday, 7:30am to 5:30pm.
Bar opening times: Monday to Sunday, 6pm to 11pm.
On occasion, the Club can be booked earlier for functions on request and with the approval of the Station Commander.

Although RAF St Mawgan does not have a HIVE facility, many aspects of the support and facilities you would see is covered by our Community Information Officer

Atlantic Club Amenities
The Station Shop is situated adjacent to the main gate, inside the Station.
Opening times: Monday to Sunday, 7:30am to 5:30pm.
Astra Cinema
The Astra cinema shows films every Monday and Wednesday (doors open 7pm for a 7:30pm start), and a matinee family film every third Sunday (doors open 10am for a 10:30am start).
There is no access to the general public.
