RAF St Mawgan proudly welcomed Air Vice Marshal Adrian Burns, Assistant Chief of the Defence Staff (People Capability) and Defence Services Secretary, for a high impact visit that underscored his unwavering commitment to the wellbeing and development of Defence personnel.
Air Vice Marshal Burns engaged with a cross-section of Station personnel from across the Whole Force, taking time to listen, learn and celebrate their achievements.
Throughout the day, Air Vice Marshal Burns met with teams across multiple units, holding meaningful conversations with senior leaders and frontline staff alike. His genuine interest in the lived experiences of personnel was evident as he explored how each section contributes to the broader Defence mission.
A highlight of the visit was the Whole Force Town Hall, where Air Vice Marshal Burns spoke candidly about his dual roles supporting Defence People initiatives and representing Defence interests at the Palace. He shared updates on key programmes aimed at enhancing personnel support and resilience and fielded questions from attendees, fostering an open and inclusive dialogue.
