The RAF Valley Childcare Centre, locally known as The Spring Lily Pad, is situated within the RAF Valley community area.

Family contact and temporary accommodation

RAF Valley has two, three bedroom houses to serve as welfare houses and which can be made available for rent to RAF personnel.  These are located on Penrhyn Close.

Health and welfare

Medical centre

Medical care for serving personnel and Service dependants is provided by the Medical Treatment Facility.

Dependants' medical care can also be provided by NHS GP practices.  To register contact the GP practice direct.

Dental centre

Dental care for serving personnel is provided by the Station Dental Centre.

Dependants’ NHS dental care provision has been secured at Valley Dental Clinic, Valley village.

Soldiers’, Sailors’ and Airmen’s Families Association (SSAFA)

SSAFA provides lifelong support to anyone who is currently serving, or who has ever served in the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force and their dependants.  

SSAFA volunteers deal with a broad range of social issues including bereavement, finance, housing, relationships and mental health.

The Station SSAFA office is located within the Station Community Hub.

Chaplains

The chaplaincy is based at St Mihangel's Church on the Station.  

Church services are held on Sunday at 10am.  A Sunday school is held for children of all ages.

Sports

Station gym

The gym has a fitness suite and classes.  

The facility is free to service personnel, but dependants and station civilian employees can join for a small fee.

Rhosneigr Golf Club

Members of RAF Valley gym are entitled to use Rhosneigr Golf Club. This is for up to four people for one round of golf per day.

Bars and cafés

The bars and cafes on the Station are open to dependants of RAF Valley personnel.  You'll need to ask your spouse or partner to apply for RAF ID for you if you want to use them unaccompanied by RAF Valley personnel. 

Trewan Café & Bistro

Trewan Café & Bistro is available for children's parties and bowling parties.  Children's play area and children's menu available.

The History Room Cafe (Starbucks)

Serves hot food, snacks and coffees. 

Opening times: Monday to Thursday, 8am to 3:30pm, and Friday, 8am to 2:45pm.

Children and young people

Children’s and young people’s activities and clubs on the station are run by Airplay:

Ben Club is for 5 to 7 year olds, and runs on a Thursday 4pm to 5.30pm.

Airplay Juniors is for 8 to 11 year olds and runs on a Tuesday from 4pm to 6pm.

Airplay Inters is for ages 11+ and runs on a Thursday from 6pm to 8pm.

Other facilities

Thrift Shop

If you are a family member of RAF Valley personnel, you can sell things through the Thrift Shop on the Station, one account per household. You can also volunteer at the shop.

Opening times: Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30am to 1:30pm. Closed during school holidays.

Costcutter

The Costcutter shop on the Station is open to spouses and partners of RAF Valley personnel who have permanent RAF ID.

Opening times: Monday to Friday, 7am to 7pm, and Saturday, 10am to 7pm.

Jetflix Cinema

A variety of showings throughout the week.

Search for ''RAF Valley Station Cinema Jetflix' on Facebook and ask to join the closed group for more details. You will be asked to prove identity for security purposes.
