Air Commodore Mark Jeffery OBE MA BSc ARCS RAF

Air Commodore Mark Jeffery joined the Royal Air Force in 1983. Following initial training, he was posted to the Buccaneer Force at RAF Lossiemouth. Awarded the OBE for his work in managing the MOD’s response to the Millennium Bug, he then attended No 4 Advanced Command and Staff Course before going on to command No 8 Squadron. In more recent years he served as Deputy UK Air Component Commander and Officer Commanding 901 Expeditionary Air Wing in the Middle-East, Director JFACHQ and Chief of Staff (Operations) 22 Group. In September 2016 he was promoted to Air Commodore where he took up his current appointment as Head of the RAF Safety Centre.
