About

ESUAS is established for 90 students. It has a permanent staff of 3 Qualified Flying Instructors, a Ground Training Instructor and 3 admin staff. The Squadron flies from Leuchars Airfield, which is also the location of the Squadron Headquarters. Embedded within the Squadron is Number 12 Air Experience Flight who are responsible for the air experience flights for Air Cadets and the Combined Cadet Forces in Central Scotland.

Weekly training

The Squadron holds training nights 2 or 3 times a month during term times at Leuchars Station. However we open 6 days a week, with flying taking place from Tuesday to Saturday during term times. This changes to Monday to Friday at holiday periods.

History

2003 - Formed in September by the amalgamation of East Lowlands and Aberdeen, Dundee & St Andrews University Air Squadrons.
