Celebrating Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee, as a notable event over her 70 year reign.

The team’s first official display took place May 6th 1965 at RAF Little Rissington for the press. The first public air display was staged May 9th at the French Air Force base at Clermont Ferrand and the first UK air show was on May 15th at the Biggin Hill International Air Fair, Kent. 

During the first season the Reds flew 65 displays in Britain and Europe and was awarded the Britannia Trophy in recognition of its outstanding contribution to British prestige in the field of aviation.
