The RAF Police Knowledge Platform, initiated by Flight Sergeant Ball, is transforming how the RAF Police operate. This innovative project consolidates policies, training materials, and key paperwork into one mobile platform, accessible via iOS devices.

Key benefits:

  • Improves response times in crisis situations
  • Enhances support for crime victims
  • Boosts operational efficiency across the Air Security Force
  • Estimated to save over £4m in 5 years
  • Reduces paper use, promoting sustainability

The platform's success has inspired similar projects across Defence, including the RAF medical profession and Royal Navy Police. The platform also currently receives an estimated 24,000 users annually, which surpasses expectations and cements its role as the one-stop-shop for all ASF’s operational information. This user engagement not only validates the platform's effectiveness but also underscores its critical role in modernising defence operations.

This project showcases how grassroots innovation and digital transformation can significantly impact Defence capabilities and victim support. Well done Flight Sergeant Ball.
