When you arrive

You must report to the Main Gate Control of Entry Building.

You must bring photographic ID with you, e.g. a driving licence or passport.

If you were invited to RAF Brize Norton, the member of staff that invited you should meet you at the Main Gate, unless other arrangements have been made.

Work experience

Youth Familiarisation Visits

Currently, all Youth Visits on Station are cancelled until further notice, we will be in touch 3 weeks prior to the September Familiarisation Visit to confirm cancellation.

These visits at RAF Brize Norton aim to give students an opportunity to experience the wide-ranging careers that are available within the Royal Air Force.

Students are offered a choice from the set dates, listed below, which offer a two day programme to spend time in several different sections.

These may include: Flying Squadrons, Engineering, Air Traffic Control, Fire Service, Catering, Regiment, Armoury and Logistics.

Whilst there is a set timetable, due to operational commitments we reserve the right to change or cancel the programme at short notice. Each course has 12 places available.

The Youth Familiarisation dates, for 2020 are:

1-2 September

6-7 October
