Royal Air Force Police Conference 2026: Warfighting - enabling operational effect through military policing
The Royal Air Force Police Conference 2026, held at RAF Brize Norton, brought together senior Defence leaders, academics and military practitioners to examine the vital role of military policing in enabling RAF war-fighting capability and operational effectiveness.
Set against an increasingly contested global security environment, the conference explored how the RAF Police contributes to the Royal Air Force's ability to prepare for, deter and, when required, fight and win. A standout session focused on Operation Pitting, with Minister for Veterans and People, Calvin Bailey MP, Wing Commander Bird and Corporal Grahamslaw sharing first-hand experiences of the UK's evacuation from Afghanistan in 2021.
