Number 614 Squadron recognised as top Auxiliary squadron for PR performance
Welsh Auxiliary squadron, No. 614 (County of Glamorgan) Squadron, Royal Auxiliary Air Force, parented by RAF Brize Norton, has been recognised for its outstanding performance in Public Relations this year. The award gave recognition to the high level of reporting and media activity around this centenary year for the Royal Auxiliary Air Force, its operations and training, in 2024. Media coverage has included numerous appearances on BBC and ITV Wales, print and online media, and on RAF channels.
The Clyde Trophy is awarded annually to the Royal Auxiliary Air Force unit judged to have had the highest performance in media and PR during the year.
Executive Officer of 614 Squadron, Squadron Leader Matthews said:
“We’re extremely proud to have been awarded this trophy that recognises the superb efforts by our Media Flight in reflecting the fantastic work Squadron officers and aviators have done supporting the RAF in the UK and overseas during this special RAuxAF centenary year.”
