Members of the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme (AFPS) recently visited RAF Cranwell to gain a first-hand insight into the people, training and challenges that shape the Royal Air Force of today.

The Parliamentarians experienced a drill lesson to experience the standards and discipline expected of RAF personnel, before visiting Recruitment & Selection to learn about the attributes sought in prospective officers, the challenges, and the future of the organisation. The AFPS guests also took part in one of the leadership exercises used to assess prospective candidates at the Officer and Aircrew Selection Centre.

The visit to RAF Cranwell was part of a 12-month programme that provides parliamentarians insight into how the RAF develops its people and delivers operational capability.
