Family contact and temporary accommodation
There are two welfare flats and a welfare house on station that service personnel can use for emergency family accommodation, visits from children of divorced or separated personnel, weekend and school holiday visits from family members like parents or grandparents, and temporary accommodation when moving into or out of permanent Service Families Accommodation (SFA). Health and welfare
The Medical Centre is located at JFC Chicksands and is for service personnel only. Dependants of personnel should register with a local GP.
SSAFA workers provide the help and advice on things like bereavement, finances, housing relationships, mental health. SSAFA works with the Royal Air Force Community Support.

The gym has a fitness suite, a large multi-purpose main hall and several classes every week including spinning, weightlifting and circuits.
Dependants of service personnel can join the station gym.
The gym operates a key card entry system for 24 hour use.

Tiny Troopers, Under 5’s Parent group
A large range of toys with craft activities held each session. Run Tuesday, 10am to 11.30am.
Stay ‘n’ Play sessions offer a friendly place where parents/carers can enjoy play time with their child(ren) and to meet up with other parents/carers. Sessions provide high quality, well planned, stimulating activities & snack time for ages 0-5 years.

Fun and exciting programme about learning by doing for girls aged 5 to 7 years old.
Brownies is about trying new things that teaches about themselves, their community and their world for girls ages 7 to 10 years old.

Family members of RAF personnel can sell things through the Thrift Shop on the Station. 10% of the sale price goes to charity.
