Personnel from RAF Marham recently took part in an Alpine Skiing Expedition, organised by the Station Adventurous Training Instructor (ATI) and delivered by qualified military ski instructors.

Over the course of two weeks, separate groups travelled to the Alps, with one expedition based in Tignes and the other in the Three Valleys at Val Thorens. Participants either completed SF1 (Ski Foundation 1), focusing on building strong alpine fundamentals, or progressed through SF2 (Ski Foundation 2), developing greater confidence and capability in a high-alpine environment.

These expeditions highlighted the value of RAF Adventurous Training, promoting personal development, resilience and teamwork while operating in demanding environments.

A huge well done to all involved — from the organisers and instructors to everyone who challenged themselves.
