The Royal Air Force Association Marham Branch hosted a Boxing Event at RAF Marham last week. The Mobility Hangar was transformed into a Boxing venue with boxing ring, seating, lighting and special effects. A number of guests had opted for the dining experience and were treated to a delicious three course meal, prepared and served by the talented Catering team, prior to the boxing.

Eleven bouts of 3, 2 minute rounds were fought with personnel from the Army versus personnel from the Royal Air Force. Each bout was evenly matched and whilst the Army took an early lead, the RAF Boxers fought back, and by the end of the night the RAF were victorious, winning by 7 bouts to 4. The award for Boxer of the Night went to the RAF - AS1 Masterman from RAF Coningsby.

Thank you to Royal Air Force Marham Branch and to all the members of the Boxing Night committee who worked incredibly hard to deliver such an amazing event. Our thanks also go to the RAF Marham Catering Team for providing the dining experience and bars, to REDS10, The Thursford Collection, ESS and Beers of Europe for donating Raffle Prizes, to PopUpArena for the tiered seating, and to Jac Ropa for the impressive lighting and special effects. Finally, a huge thank you to the Army and RAF Boxing Associations, all the officials and medical staff, and most importantly to all the boxers for providing a truly fantastic night of entertainment.
