Childcare

RAFA Kidz Nursery is a full daycare nursery based at RAF Odiham.

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of RAFA Kidz, a new way the RAF Association is supporting RAF personnel and their families. RAFA Kidz is nursery care that supports and nurtures little ones in the RAF family, giving them the wings to fly.

RAF Odiham Service Family Accommodation

Family contact and temporary accommodation

There are four flats RAF personnel can use.  They can be used for emergency family accommodation, visits from children of divorced or separated personnel, weekend and school holiday visits from family members and temporary accommodation when you are moving into or out of permanent service families accommodation.

The two bedroom flats are outside the main station but on the RAF Odiham Married Patch. Only RAF personnel can make bookings.

Health and welfare

Medical Centre

The Medical Centre on the Station is for RAF personnel only. Dependants of personnel should register with a local GP.

Dental Centre

The Dental Centre on the Station is for RAF personnel only. Dependants of personnel should register with a local dental practice. 

Working Hours

The Dental Centre will be open during the following times.

  • Monday to Thursday: 8am – 12pm and 1.30pm – 5pm
  • Friday: 8am – 12pm and 1pm – 3pm

Surgeries will be closed every Wednesday from 3pm and Friday from 12pm.

SSAFA PS&SWS RAF

SSAFA Personal Support & Social Work Service RAF (PS&SWS RAF) is contracted by the RAF to provide welfare support to all serving personnel (regular and reserves) and their families. Our team of specialist Personal & Family Support Workers and Social Workers are located on stations in the RAF community throughout the UK.

Our service is confidential and independent from the Chain of Command. It is the aim of our service to support you to enhance personal welfare, maintain family stability and empower you to access the support networks you are entitled to.

Our service can support you with a range of issues including addiction & dependency, child support, financial, housing, mental health, personal support, physical health and relationships.

Anyone, regular, reserve or dependent, can refer themselves to SSAFA. You can contact our service by any of the ways below;

Sports

Station gym

The gym has a fitness suite and classes. You can join the station gym if you are a dependant of a member of RAF personnel. Contact the gym on: 01256 367297

Contact the gym to find out about other sports facilities on the Station. 

Social

Bars and cafés

The bars and cafés on the Station are open to dependants of RAF personnel. You will need to ask your spouse or partner to apply for RAF ID for you if you want to use them unaccompanied by RAF personnel.

Blades

Located at the common room. An all ranks Coffee Shop and Bar. Opening times: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm and 7pm to 11pm.

Henderson room

Non alcoholic facility. Opening times: Monday to Sunday, 24 hours a day.

Sportsman’s Bar

An all ranks bar located behind the gym. Opening times: 6pm to 10:30pm, first and third Wednesday of each month

Children and young people

The Families Club is located between Pither Rd and Wooldridge Crescent and runs:

  • Thursday, 8pm to 11pm
  • Friday and Saturday, 6pm to 11pm
  • Sunday, 2pm to 6pm

Other facilities

Costcutter 

The Costcutter Shop is situated on the RAF Odiham Married Patch.

Opening times: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 9:30pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 9am to 8pm.
