When you arrive

Visitors should enter via the Main Gate and report to the Passes and Permits Office to book in and collect a visitors security pass.  

All visitors are required to produce two forms of UK-recognised identification, with at least one form of photo-ID (ideally a passport or new style-driving licence). Visitors should also bring details of the visit, including details of the authorised sponsor.

Parking While Booking In

Small vehicles (cars, vans, mini-buses) approaching the Main Gate should stay in the left-hand lane and use the temporary parking lane.

Large vehicles (buses, lorries) should park in the middle lane if there is no suitable space in the temporary parking lane.

Work experience

RAF Shawbury is unable to offer work experience.

There will be up to three opportunities in summer 2019 for a careers’ visit at RAF Shawbury.

On these days, a small group of young people will visit the Station to view several aspects of working life in the RAF. Spaces are however limited and as such anyone interested should contact the station:

No overnight accommodation will be available, and the day will likely run from 9 am to 4 pm.

It is strongly recommended that the child wishing to attend the visit is responsible for filling out the documentation to ensure they are fully engaged in the process.

School visits

RAF Shawbury are unable to offer school visits to RAF Shawbury.
