Spring Nursery is a 78-place setting offering full time and part time childcare to children aged 3 months - 5 years. As well as childcare in the holidays for children aged 5years – 12years.

Meals: An on-site kitchen provides home cooked meals and snacks for the children, catering for allergies, food intolerances and the weaning process for young children. Seasonal menus provide nutritional and well-balanced meals. Menus are displayed in the main corridor for all parents to view, showing full details of the upcoming weeks meals.

Children can attend full time or part time. Our opening times and session times are as follows:

Opening hours:     

08:00 – 18:00 (Monday – Thursday)

08:00 – 17:30 (Friday)

(Early opening: 7:30/7:45 available on request at an extra cost)

Morning session: 08:00 – 13:00

Afternoon session: 13:00 – 17:30/18:00

Fees:-

Fees are paid monthly in advance on the 1st day of each calendar month.

Housing

To apply for service housing go to Occupancy Services and use the entitlement and application process found on the Carillionamey. Applications can be made using the e-1132.

Health and welfare

MEDICAL CENTRE

The Medical Centre on the Station is for military personnel only. Dependants of personnel should register with a local GP.

Details of local practices can be obtained from the HIVE Information Centre.

Dental Centre

The Dental Centre on the Station is for military personnel only. Dependants of personnel should register with a local dental practice.

SOLDIERS’, SAILORS’ AND AIRMEN’S FAMILIES ASSOCIATION (SSAFA)

SSAFA provides welfare and social work support and advise to serving personnel and their dependants.  

The SSAFA office is located inside the wire at 1 Cornwall Road.

Sports

STATION GYM

Membership of the gym is open to all service, civilian and contractor staff and dependants of those employed at the unit.

To become a member, personnel must attend an induction briefing. Once completed customers will be issued with a membership card and a proximity card.

SPORTS PITCHES AND COURTS

Social

BARS AND CAFÉS

The bars and cafés on the Station are open to dependants of RAF personnel.

You will need to ask your spouse or partner to apply for RAF ID for you if you want to use them unaccompanied by RAF personnel.

Coffee Pot

Coffee Pot is located in the accommodation which also hosts SSAFA, and in a shop adjacent to the station learning centre.

Children and young people

Ben Club is for 5 to 7 year olds and runs on a Tuesday from 4pm to 5:15pm.

A Junior Youth Club is for 8 to 9 year olds, and runs Tuesday, 6pm to 7:30pm.

Another Junior Youth Club is for 10 to 11 years olds, and runs Wednesday, 6pm to 7:30pm.

The Youth Club is for 12 to 16 years olds, and runs Monday, 6pm to 8pm.

These clubs do not run in the school holidays.

The youth clubs takes place on the accommodation site, off the main camp community street.
