Squadron Leader Andy King
As Senior Engineering Officer (SEngO), Andy is responsible for all Red Arrows engineering and logistics outputs and personnel, ensuring the highest standards across the aircraft, coloured smoke systems and equipment. Originally from Little Paxton, Cambridgeshire, he joined the Royal Air Force in 2014 after studying a masters degree in aeronautics and astronautics at Southampton University. Now a Chartered Engineer, he has previously worked on Shadow, E-3D Sentry and Typhoon aircraft - completing international deployments and holding engineering authority for UK Quick Reaction Alert. He joined the Red Arrows in 2023 and, as the SEngO, flies as a member of the Circus team - with the Officer Commanding of the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team (OC RAFAT) - when 11 jets are taken to a display or event.
Corporal Phil Dye
An award-winning RAF photographer, Phil is a visual communication specialist – taking airborne and ground imagery of the Red Arrows worldwide. From East Cleveland, Phil joined the RAF in 2012 and has had his work published by National Geographic among other prestige outlets. During the 2023 season - his first full year with the team - Phil used his skills and experience to take widely-seen imagery of the Red Arrows across the UK and mainland Europe, including during important, high-profile occasions such as the Coronation of HM The King.
