Group Captain Becky Woolley

Group Captain Woolley joined the Royal Air Force in 2005 as a sponsored cadet whilst studying Medicine at the University of Sheffield. She has significant operational experience having deployed as a GP on operations and exercises around the world, these include Iraq, West Africa and the Caribbean following the Cat 5 hurricane in 2017. An experienced operational planner, Gp Capt Woolley led the AIR medical operations team during Op PITTING. Following successful attendance at staff college, she was selected as the first non-Army Commanding Officer of Joint Hospital Group (North), a tri-service unit based at Catterick Garrison where she ensured Defence's secondary healthcare personnel in the North of England and Scotland were trained and ready to deploy in support of global defence activity.
