A Royal Air Force chaplain has been awarded the Bronze Polish Army Medal during a ceremony at the Polish Embassy in London.
Reverend (Squadron Leader) Mark Perry was presented with the honour by Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, in recognition of his excellent contribution to promoting the history and traditions of the Polish Armed Forces internationally.

The award recognises Reverend Perry’s sustained efforts to support the Polish community and strengthen awareness of Poland’s military heritage among allied nations.
Speaking after the ceremony, Reverend Perry said:
“It is a privilege to serve the Polish community. I am conscious this medal represents more than any individual. It speaks to a wider story of service, remembrance and shared purpose, upholding the dignity of humanity.
“Recognition like this is a reminder that acts of service, often small and unseen, contribute to the pursuit of lasting peace.
“As Desmond Tutu said, ‘Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.’ It is a timely reminder that service to others can have a profound impact.”
