It is with deep regret that the Air Security Force announces the death of RAF Police Corporal Andrew Murphy, who sadly passed away on Thursday 27th June 2024.
Andrew, who was born in Hemel Hempstead in 1993, joined the RAF Police in 2013. He served in many locations RAF Northolt, Honington & Wyton and supported operational deployments across the globe from the Falkland Islands to RAF Akrotiri on OP SHADER and Minhad on OP KIPION. In 2022, Andrew was posted to the NATO Military Police Squadron located at Ramstein Airbase, in Germany.
Beyond his military service, Andrew was an ardent Liverpool Football Club supporter. He maintained his physical fitness and routinely took part in physical challenges where he won a fitness challenge held at Ramstein Airbase.
The entire RAF Police family’s thoughts are with Andrews family and friends this difficult time.
